Following the meeting I spoke with victims who stated that they appreciated not be forgotten. That holding the meeting meant they were valued and important. They are really struggling now and it meant a lot. I heard this from three victims. They stated they really appreciated the information given at the meeting and the AUSA' s explanation of the process. The individualized packets were also appreciated. I also spoke with two who were not able to make it and they felt the same; and did not realize the impact of the crime. They are really in need of counseling and did not know where to begin.
