Alternator was sent out to be tested, it came back clean, but af=er re installing it and running the machine it would shut down after 5hrs,=the alternator was broken down and checked in the field and it was=discovered that the diodes would fail after operating for approx 5hrs, b=t would reset when machine cooled down, hence clean test result. please note without having the diagnostic equipment, this is time co=suming 5. A new compatible alternator purchased locally and =as adapted 6. the Dozer is running Compatiabl= Part was sourced locally, purchased and adapted, meaning wiring had to be=changed I hope the this addresses your concerns.
