Not sure it is going to be possible to take their model forward. There appear to be more folks coming out of the
woodworks claiming they own patents or partial patents. It is true that there may be up to 5 different
*technologies" - each with intellectual property claimants in different countries.
Challenges:
1. Determining who actually owns the IP (Europe, UK, Japan, USA)
2. Distribution channels (no one buying/selling books in Africa)
3. Alignment with government or large NGO priority (vision not one of them)
4. Manufacturing (from three data points - medical devices, hardware, clothing - a prototype is required +
minimum order)
Not sure it is worth it, unless it is a lifetime dream or someone's full time job. It is a shame.
