Depending upon you use of this "blotter", we have a couple of choices: 1. Full blotter to cover the whole table 2. Keeping the fwd leaf flipped onto the table (exposing the sliding storage), cover the remainder of the exposed table surface. If the blotter is to be aesthetic yet function as to not scratch the table with your lap top computer, then I strongly prefer #2. Above. Further, I would make the blotter out of the "woven leather".
