This organization raised money to replace the turf at Dunning last summer. Recently, the Foundation has held many small, informational fund raisers across New Canaan to raise additional funds so some significant projects can begin this summer. Mike Benevento, an enthusiast for the betterment of New Canaan youth sports, and father of four children in New Canaan has been making these presentations and answering the many questions potential donors may have. Mike is fortunate to be friends with a member of the Darien Athletic Foundation who offered advice on the program. This was an amazingly successful program enabling Darien to raise far more money than they had hoped in order to upgrade their athletic complex. To raise awareness and hopeful support of these projects, Lesley and I have offered to host an event at our home Thursday, March 30". Dina and lames Connelly have also offered to host an event at their home in April, sometime after Spring Break (date to be determined). Many of the families we have identified are similar. We hope you can make one of our events. Lesley will follow up with an Evite so we can get a head count for the March 30th date.
