The topics seemed far out, but the speakers were some of the leading lights and scientists in their fields. It was truly something I looked forward to every year as a highlight. They are an amazing community. Eventually they moved the conference to Chicago and my life picked up and moved me in many other directions, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for them. I was absolutely thrilled when they asked me to return to their community this year to give them an address on the state of TransTech. I've been in India for about a month conducing research, and would have absolutely stayed for another one or two if not for this conference. It is totally worth flying back half-way around the world for. If you can make it, you definitely should!
