From: jeffrey E. <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, August 2, 2016 11:19 AM To: Deepak Chopra Subject: Re: Harry Cliff: Have we reached the end of physics? I TED Talk I TED.com every few years a scientist comes=out and says we know all we can know about X . =AO it is always seen in hindsight as silly . at best =br> Einstein, and his buddies , thought that biology was =oo hard to study, and after hundreds of years .and the smartes= mathematicians , scientists in the world trying- mother natu=e has not let scientists look up her skirt. I wan= you to think about distributions rather than individuals. =AO probability distributions rather than a single =oint on the curve. ( a bell curve if you prefer ) knowi=g that the average height of men is 5 foot 8 . and taking a la=ge population. when you ask me a question =A0 re the height of deepak. I can tell you, hes less tha= 9 feet tall and larger than two feet tall. =AO Thats it. no other reality , though hundreds =xist in our survey. we can say nothing about deepak w=en studing pressure in a cylinder , mathematics and physics=C2 allows us to sum over all the molecules. it says NOTHING =AO about any one molecule. within bounds. of course. ie we k=ow it is not perfectly still If you postulate that knowing a=person is like trying to study a molecule . maybe=the only thing we can say , is that given 1000 people. some will be=happy, , some will be sad. and which one is unknow=ble. ( like the molecule ). and by making one idividual=happier , to keep the distribution the same nature makes someo=e else unhappy. . thats the way it works with money , =eight„ the number of people killed on the roads each year. =onstant at around 50k peoplel but says nothing about which one will=be killed. <=div> =n Tue, Aug 2, 2016 at 7:01 AM, Deepak Chopra < » wrote: http://www.te=.com/talks/harry_diff_have_we_reached_the_end_of_physics?utm_source=new=letter_daily <http://www.ted.corritalks/harry_cliff_havewe_reachedtheena._of_physics?utmsource=newsletter_daily> Deepak Chopra EFTA_R1_01556791 EFTA02454803 The Chop=a Foundation <http://www.choprafoundation.org> Super Genes: Unlock the Astonishing Power of Your DNA for Optimum Health and Wel=being <http://www.amazon.com/Super-Genes-Astonishing-Optimum-Well-=eing/dp/0804140138/deepakchcom07-20> =AO please note The information contained i= this communication is confidential, may be attorney-client privileged,=may constitute inside information, and is intended only for the use =f the addressee.
