I realised after we spoke that it was probably cheeky of me to expect you to give me a bed after so many years absence and silence. I know how important ones privacy is and obviously the intervening years might cause a moment's thought and or concern. Heading towards ones twilight years, naturally my thoughts have turned to landmark events and friends in my life, and you are definitely one of them, I learned a lot and had so much fun , you were amazing, I loved your stories. Your first apartment in London, I still have the salt and pepper pots you gave me!! What a memento you were just a kid! My apologies if I presumed too much I will understand if it does not work out, but would love to see you nevertheless. If it can be arranged even a few nights perhaps at the beginning when I arrive around 4pm on the 26th April for a few nights, until I sort myself out. I have not been in New YORK for some time it is a little daunting as I know so few people who live there anymore. Of course the Barrett's whom I have remained close to as ever.
