Dea= Richard,

This is my last letter to you, before I g= to the Library.
Right now, I am convinced that what Mr. Epstein w=nts is the Interior that was built in 18-19 c and remained
through all agin= process. I know now, that what I did till now, is complete miss. When I wo=ked with Mr. Ingrao, a
leading decorator in NY, he would call me to finish t=e Interior like this. You have to know some history of Interiors and
how thy aged over time.
None of this I can find in the Library, and I a= sorry, I did not know to the end what Mr. Epstein wanted from me
until now=
The way he want to finish this Library, can not be finished ini=ially with wax. Wax could be the last coat over the
finish that would close=y imitated 18 c Interior.
Firstly, the oxidation ( in 18 c wood y=u have natural oxidation ) which can be easily imitated.
Secondly= the newer wood. The wood in 18 c was quarter-sown wood, you need to come c=ose to this.
Thirdly, natural use of the wood, the dents, slight s=ratches, discoloration - done in moderation.
The present method w= were using will not imitate the aged wood the way Mr. Epstein wants.
The way I see this work, is the present finish be removed, not everywh=re, because there are some good looking
sections and you need to start anew=with the final effect in mind.
I am capable of doing this work b=nd if the need for the work like this, would arise , I could be called to t=e
project.
I am sorry that through misunderstanding, I was a disa=pointment to Mr. Epstein.
Brandon
