Domains like=fundamental physics, while they sound very interesting, seem unlikely to b= important enough to justify the level of expertise needed to reliably det=rmine what's really high-leverage (although I do vaguely think that an=one who hasn't jumped onto the information theoretic bandwagon by now =hould probably get with the program). OTOH, you =ention 'cures' here, and I'm certainly familiar with a lot of =hose. Especially in regenerative medicine and cancer, though schizop=renia and OCD interest me much more.
