American money parked in a Sotuh Florida ebb regional center earma=ked for entertainment investment that is still unspent. Ultimately the foreigners are paying to get in the co=ntry so if they make money or not off the money wasn't the purpose of =he expenditure...they wanted to buy into the U.S.. That said of course =ts gravy if they see a return one day but ultimately most don't care and don't expect it. EBS's are r=ally about job creation and growth capital for U.S. Private businesses tha= almost no one knows about. I'm trying to figure out if there is an=EBS regional center in the USVI...if there isn't we need to create one and control the flow of money. St John badly needs some b=utique resorts and Coral Bay is ripe for development. St Croix needs to=replace all the Hovasa lost jobs and could use some development as well. =A0St Thomas is a lost cause till they clean up the crime. Puerto Rico is also getting hot with hip Americans =specially Veiques and the success of the W Hotel there. A friend=has done several hundred million in EB5 deals in the past year+ and is bec=ming a significant player in the space. My idea is to combine the EB5 funds which are deal flow constrained with the massive development=opps in the USVI's especially when done thru an EDC for tax advantaged=reasons. The EB5 funds work really well for hotel and real estate developm=nts with scale. EXTELL is on to this and Colony Capital is getting on the train too.
