From: Sent: Thursday, August 29, 2013 11:59 AM To: Je vacation Subject: Re: GIV Seat Dimensions Jeffrey I agree with your solution, adjust side panel to accommodate the larger seat. That was my first recommendation to Eric yesterday, he told me its possible but a lot of labor, (not our problem, His expense). The GII seat and GIV seat would have same problem, our GIl side panel tapers to allow for a larger seat, the GIV side rail is at least 2" on each side, (total 4") wider than GIl, I think Eric needs to adjust side rails and leave seats alone. do you agree? Thx Larry Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T From: Jeffrey Epstein <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 29 Au 2013 06:35:12 -0400 To: Eric Roth< Cc: Larry Visoski Subject: Re: GIV Seat Dimensions thats pretty bade . can we certify with different seats. ?* current g2 beacuse Q your last minute fix is not a good solution. the armrests will look awful* can we eat in to side panels moving chair closer to window?4>40 did we order the permanent carpet?* On Wednesday, August 28, 2013, Eric Roth wrote: Jeffrey, We brought the fwd L/H seat in the aircraft to lay out the outlets in the lower side panels. Q When doing so, we noticed that the chair was further inboard (to the center of the aircraft) than the average due to the restyled seat and arm rests. We brought the rest of the seats into the aircraft to gain a complete perspective. Q EFTA_R1_01657059 EFTA02520359 The FAA mandates that there be 204> of clearance between furnishings - measured 254> and higher from the floor. The top of the arm rest elevation is just below the 25. mark. The problem that we identified is that we do not achieve the mandated 2* between furnishings (in this case the seat backs) until a point 8.54> above the top of the arm rest. On a side note, I need to mention that by making each of the arm rest on the seats 44> wide, we have lost a total of 44> of aisle space between the 41 R/H & L/H Aft facing single seats and the 42 R/H (your seat) and L/H fwd facing single seats in the fwd cabin area. Five of my guys walked through from the entryway through the fwd cabin and although there is 40 less aisle space than customary at the 4 fwd seats in the front of the cabin, no one found it uncomfortable. The bottom line is that legally we have to increase the space that starts at 8.54> above the arm rests by about 24> to achieve the required 204> clearance. 0 The attached 2 page pdf shows a picture of the fwd 2 seats in the aircraft which should provide you with a visual perspective and a means of reference for our anticipated discussion. The 2nd page illustrates how we propose to taper the backrest of the seats to gain the required 200 clearance between the seats. We spent most of the day looking, reviewing, measuring and discussing solution scenarios.
