Top winds have increased to 60 miles per hour with higher rusts and additional strengthening is forecast. Katia could become a hurric=ne on Wednesday. The tropical storm is moving along a west-northwesterl= track at 20 miles per hour. Tropical storm force winds extend outward up =o 85 miles from the center. EFTA_R1_01695725 EFTA02543686 Since this morning, the National Hurricane Center has adjusted the p=ojected track of Katia more to the south so therefore, on this afternoon&#=9;s forecast track, the center of Katia will pass closer to the Virgin Isl=nds than earlier projected. The latest estimates s=ggest that Katia will pass about 344 miles to the northeast of St. John on=Sunday afternoon at 5 pm.
