One did not need more, or so little - 1300 talented craftsmen during three full years - to put up a faithful replica of the Alhambra on a 4.6 ha park in the Marrakech palm grove. As years passed by and the exceptional plants in the park matured, the palace merged into the vegetation. They became so intricate that one might think the edifice has been there for centuries. It perpetuates the richness and treasures of the Moroccan crafts, featuring Fez Zeliges, finely chiseled cedars, patiently sculpted by hundred of hands plasters, the whole discretely enhanced by gold paintings. The park has been conceived with the same loving care. It is composed of a marvelous rose garden as well as palm tree paths bordering ornamental lakes and numerous marble fountains. The inspiration of the Andalusian gardeners may be found in the geometrical patterns ornamenting the paths, which separate the bamboo forest, the orange garden and the cactus garden.
