Dear Jeffrey,
On behalf of the Melanoma Research Alliance (MRA), we would like to express our sincere appreciation
for your $1,000,000 contribution in support of our second bi annual benefit dinner held on May 8th at
Sotheby's in New York City.
MRA seeks to impact the lives of the more than 70,000 Americans who are newly diagnosed with
melanoma each year, the 9,000 Americans who die each year from melanoma and the millions who are
at risk. Your generosity brings us one step closer to achieving our ultimate goal of accelerating
the pace of scientific discovery toward a day when no one suffers or dies from melanoma.
Finally after decades of little progress, there is now extraordinary hope that we will soon defeat
this disease. Together we are transforming the field of melanoma research.
More than 200 friends joined us in celebrating the progress taking place in the field of melanoma
research. It truly was a wonderful night as we raised approximately $5 million and honored the
scientists and young investigators who are dedicated to defeating this disease.
Thank you for your wonderful and generous support for the mission of the Melanoma Research Alliance.
With gratitude,
aira
