One question that came up in my discussions with the Development Office here at the Music School (and in years past at Harvard) is the possibility of Letters & Sciences, the Medical School, and the Music School joining forces to secure an endowment for a professorship that is multi-departmental and multi-disciplinary and connects related program across the schools on the North and South campuses. I have 2-3 potential donors I've attracted via the 501 c3 non-profit organization David Hubel, Sir George Martin, Nicholas Zervas, Anne Young, and I founded in Boston, The Institute for Music & Brain Science, which is now incorporated in California and recently received a grant that buys out some of my time to work on the proposal (and advance) for The Music Instinct pop book.
