From: Lesley Groff fr" To: Jefffrey Epstein -4 Subject: Fwd: Maestro for Neurorehabilitation - Revised Date: Thu, 17 Aug 2017 02:28:48 +0000 Attachments: MaestroGrant.Neurorehabilitation.20170816(1.doc Sent from my iPhone Begin forwarded message: From: MARK TRAMO < Date: August 16, 2017 at 8:41:09 PM EDT To: Yael Swerdlow Cc: Robert Freeman PhD , David Shapendonk , nicholas t zervas , "Neuman, Dan" Subject: Maestro for Neurorehabilitation - Revised Greetings, Yael & David - Please find attached a revised proposal - I just added a few bits and corrected a couple of typos, nothing substantive. Yes, Yael, the natural sound piece might fit nicely - e.g., while walking from one stage to the next. If you get a chance, please listen to the first 4 minutes of the original 1967 stereo mix of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club band. Our late Founding Advisory Board member, Sir George Martin, placed the MC's band in the right ear/speaker (lead vocals = Paul), Sgt Pepper's band in the left ear/speaker (lead vocals = John), and Billy Shears's band in the center (lead vocals = Ringo). One gets the impression of, say, being at a fairground with three canopies/stages a hundred feet or so apart, each housing a different band. Imagine walking from one stage to the next, with natural sounds filling the audio during the walk, wherein the user can invoke different environmental and animal sounds. I think you will find our Advisory Board member Bernie Krause's bio fascinating. (http://www.brainmusic.org/BoardPage/Board.html). His most recent book, "The Great Animal Orchestra" (http://www.nytimes.corn/2012/04/15/books/review/the-great-animal-orchestra-by-bernie-krause.html? mcubz=3), was a quite a hit. Some of your programmers may know him as the co-author of "The Nonesuch Guide To Electronic Music". He has contributed original sound and music to dozens of movies (e.g., Apocalypse Now, Love Story, and many more) and is quite keen on the potential application of natural sound and music to health care and well-being.
