The picture above is what we call the 'upstairs bedroom' or room'. The walls are covered in the pink fabric but as you can see the ceiling is peeling badly and cracking(pic below) and needs attention desperately. EFTA00558734 The 2 photos below are of the 'upstairs little office. The ceiling needs to be painted and the walls should be done at the same time as the also have some damage. ‘these walls are painted. Valdson estimated that for the bedroom and little office it would take 4-5 weeks. This does seem like a long time but he is very particular and I suppose this is Paris time not New York time. Still it seems long. He says that the ceiling in the bedroom is not only a paint job but some repair work where the cracks are. EFTA00558735 EFTA00558736 The image below is of the corridor that runs between the upstairs bedroom and the little office. Valdson did not seem to think it was as urgent to paint but Jeffreys email back to me said 'paint all. We would have to match the blue color. To give you a better sense. these are low ceilings ( I would estimate about 7 ft). There is a little stairwell that connects the area downstairs which is also blue. Valdson feels we would have to do the stairwell as well so that there is no difference in color. EFTA00558737 Below is a guest toilet which is next to the gym on the 1st level of the apartment. The damage to the paint is on both sides of this wall and visible in the toilet and directly on the other side in the gym. To me it looks like water damage. Valdson says there is a chance that insurance will pay. I need to establish whether he means the buildings insurance or ours. Maybe if it is water damage it is the buildings responsibility?
