The Chocolate Pear 'free matches all other closets in the condo, which is a benefit on resale (how much of a difference it will make is tbd). The Dark Chocolate finish does not match any other closets, however it would match the new furniture coming in next week. Note that the California Closet finish was closest to the Dark Chocolate finish, which no matter what would not match any of the colors. As you can see from the samples, there is little difference in the two, except a slightly different tint and the finish, but it's worth weighing both options in the event the Closet Lady come back in with a lower price than California Closets.
