Ms. Maxwell:
I've really made as many updates to the task lists as realistic; they aren't
complete and need work (with the exception of Zorro and 71st St). I have
many more items that need to be added but can't get a status at this hour
and don't want to complete all this work and have the focus be on the items
without status and not the fact that we're all pushing ourselves to the
limit and beyond...
I will give you an update on the Frank Steele status report as you
requested.
When I was leaving 65th Tom was activating the alarm. Thanks a lot, I
learned this by accident. I planned to invest some time this weekend to
straighten out some of the mess I didn't get to this week in my office.
Maybe it would have better if I didn't know, I could have met some good
looking security guys...
The thing with the keys was simply trying to understand what you want and it
all makes sense now. I think if I approach things as tell me what you want
rather than how to get there, I'll save you time and frustration. Tom said
there is a battery back up on the key pads (8 to 12 hours) so realistically,
you'll never use keys. This will make you laugh, but I actually value
privacy more than you. I will find a way for you to easily limit access
when you wish.
I certainly understand your reluctance to trust people and am sure you've
been disappointed as we all have. However, eventually you'll learn that
your trust is well placed and has to be in order for me to effectively be
your estate manager. As we discussed, "positioning" is key in this role,
but your comfort level is far more important.
Seeing you in action is a real "perk" in this job. I've never worked with
or for a woman on your level. I really admire your style and intelligence
and love your sense of humor.
Regards,
