The owner said he didn't care and had an offer letter ready but his lawyer got involved and said he couldn't risk bad press with me since he is trying to buy an airport and is in the public eye. AM. I'm not sure what to do about this anymore... I'm great at what I do, had amazing references and the interview could not have gone better. It's getting really hard to support myself when every interesting opportunity falls through because of this. It's an endless cycle - I put an effort into something, get opportunities and then watch them all disappear over arid over again (pilot work, conference sponsors. speaking engagements. TV shows. business partnerships, personal connections) I stopped telling you because I know you can't control the press and what's on the Internet but I'm at a loss about what else to do or how to get around the fact that the bad press seems to trump any effort, skill and reality for most people.
