"In the last couple of weeks, ministers Lapid and Livni strongly attacked the government under my leadership. I will not tolerate an opposition within the government and its policy," Netanyahu said, according to the statement. In addition, the Prime Minister "will call for the dispersal of the Knesset (parliament) as soon as possible in order to go to the people and get a clear mandate to lead Israel," the statement read. Netanyahu is set to give a statement to the press at 8 p.m. local time (1800 GMT) regarding the recent developments. Following a meeting which took place on Monday night between Netanyahu and Lapid which sources defined as "harsh", members of both parties said they will vote in favor of a bill to disperse the Knesset and hold new elections within three months, two years after the previous elections were held. Throughout the day, politicians throughout the political spectrum spoke of early elections as a "done deal," as the coalition parties have been divided over various issues including the 2015 budget, hardline legislation and the conflict over the holy site of Temple Mount. p, , ecoattitude.gi Ensemble adoptons des gestes responsables : N'imprimez ce mail f que si nécessaire.
