The hackers are probably trying to run a script they wrote to send out spam or phishing emails. That means the password for that account should be changed ASAP. V. is suggesting adding two factor authentication -- where yahoo sends a txt message with a second one-time code to Jeffrey every time he logs in with a new browser. It's not a bad idea, but can be annoying as hell with as many computers Jeffrey has (and if he doesn't have his phone at that moment, he's locked out).
