According to the company's former v-p of completions, Colt Mehler, a stagnant economy was the reason the Spokane, Wash: based completion and refurbishment center went out of business. "We had just delivered a great [BBJ] and the owners were happy with it, but there was little follow-on business," Mehler explained, "and the risk-versus-reward was no longer appealing." JetTech was subsequently sold to Canadian manufacturer Conair Group, the parent company of Cascade Aerospace. the company that sold the facility to JetTech in 2010. The sole cabin completion by JetTech went to a San Francisco bay-area family. The BBJ's interior includes such features as a center island in the galley for food preparation. Honeywell's Ovation Select cabin management system, high-definition entertainment throughout, a 46-inch and two 42-inch monitors, a private stateroom with king-size bed and a private lavatory with shower. Extensive work went into the cabin environment and the average cabin noise level is said to be around 47 dB(SIL)—the same noise level as in a living room in the suburbs.
