Hi Jeff,
Terje asked me to send you the below message — for your comments — before we send it to Larry Summers (we will also send
similar messages to the other board members).
Thanks,
Camilla
Dear Larry,
Please find attached a note on the Mongolian Presidential Advisory Board, produced by IPI, which was
approved by the President of Mongolia today.
The Advisory Board will meet twice a year, and you will provide advice and remain available for consultancy—
within a reasonable time limit—for inputs to the subjects you will address for them, e.g. review of Mongolia's
fiscal policies and macroeconomic tools, including the structure and functions of the sovereign fund and its
investment portfolio.
The members' working arrangements will be with IPI, pending the formal signing of IPI's contract with the
government of Mongolia in March. The date is set due to the budgetary cycle of the government. After the
signing of the contract, the Board Member's honorarium will be $100,000 per annum.
Special arrangements will be made for consultancy services beyond those reasonably expected of Advisory
Board members in return for their fee, if required.
