From: "Milken Institute" < To: "Jeffrey Epstein" <jecvaeation(a;gmail.com> CC: " .- Subject: Help us help Tony Blair's Faith Foundation Date: Fri, 10 May 2013 18:56:46 +0000 L.iheader Dear Jeffrey: At our recent Global Conference we heard of many challenges faced by people around the world, along with some unique ideas on how to solve them. One of the most poignant came from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. During his conversation with Mike Milken on Tuesday, April 30th, he spoke of his Tony Blair Faith Foundation and its goal: linking a thousand classrooms in the United States with a thousand schools in the Muslim world with video conferencing technology so that children can talk directly to one another and help push aside the forces of extremism and intolerance. During that conversation, Mike pledged $1 million to the Foundation — and challenged the Global Conference audience to donate another $5 million to reach a stated goal of $6 million by the end of May. Many of you responded generously to Mike's challenge. Less than two weeks later, more than $3 million has been raised by the Foundation. On behalf of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, we are pleased to forward their message below that asks for your help in reaching the $6 million goal. The message explains how donations can be made. (For U.S. taxpayers, contributions are tax deductible.) Please join Mike Milken and others who were moved by Tony Blair's vision and inspired to make it a reality. Thank you, The Milken Institute line Last week Michael Milken threw down the gauntlet to the audience at the annual Milken Institute Global Conference during an interview with former UK Prime Minister and Patron of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, Tony Blair. Pledging $1 million himself, Mr. Milken challenged the audience to raise a further $5 million for Mr Blair's Foundation by the end of May. mmblair EFTA00681800 In his discussion with Michael Milken, Tony Blair said: "When I became Prime Minister, I realized the way the world was changing with the force of globalization pushing us together. Unless we found a way for people of different faiths and cultures to get on with each other we were heading for major problems. I began my Foundation as a means of saying how do we replace this extremism based on a perversion of religion that is all over the world, with an idea of faith that is respectful of difference. "I have an ambition to link thousand schools in the USA to schools in Muslim countries. What we are doing works. We have got to show people we have got a better idea than the extremists have — to learn from each other and live with each other." Recent tragic events are a sharp reminder to us all that we need to make this a reality, that we need to teach our children to recognize our common bonds, our common humanity that we share with the other cultures of the world.
