Second... it's interesting to me that you interpreted that "look" I gave you as "denigration"; I thought about it, and it was "resigned capitulation" (I know when a line of argument is flopping). Finally... I think I was right about "how someone makes you feel about yourself"... but that needs to be thought about in the framework of hyperbolic discounting: it's not just how you feel about yourself in the moment, but how you are likely to feel about yourself as events unfold...
