Some nasty Emirati kids on mini motorcycles foamed my car due to national day. I slammed the breaks in an attempt to make one of them go flying into my car. Disappointingly he dodged my car. He would've been hurt since none of them was wearing protection or helmet. U may ask why one would want to hurt a kid? Oh, it's a lot more fun than it sounds! U should try it! (Oh stop! There's nothing to do in the desert so we take whatever entertainment we can get! Even if it involves hurting small, furry mammals such as Arab children (but I would never hurt an animal, they are real creatures). You should see what they do in Saudi for fun...) At my new apt I can't even complain that the neighbors 3 villas away are noisy because the entire, spanking new villa cluster is empty except for one old, cheap villa which is occupied by white trash and low-class Arabs. I went back to the with my newly purchased DVD player and complained that it wasn't working. Turns out, apparently one needs to put the cables in and PRESS to make them stick... Sticking them in the right sockets apparently also helps... I'm spending this long-weekend chasing contractors to finish my apt. The curtain guy doesn't remember he took my curtains to extend. Where's the darn kitchen? Why don't I have an electrical outlet in the bathroom? It just goes on and on. "He can't put your blinds up because he's only a contractor and doesn't work for the landlord." What??? Since when do we have a union here??? Contractors came at 8 PM and started installing my kitchen. They left at 3 AM. It was on a govt holiday in an Arab country. I think that says something about my powers of persuasion. Someone told me there are women who scream and then there's More contractors are coming tomorrow to finish piping and tiles in kitchen, and put up blackout curtains.
