You made a regular loan, which has been partly repaid, the remainder of which will be paid very shortly. It will not be the first time in banking history that a loan has taken longer to repay than anticipated. It is all extremely well documented. I have made dozens of similar loans to friends in the past without any paperwork at all... Just a hand shake. I have never had any issues with banking authorities and nor should you. It's outrageous of them to summon you in on such a matter!
