Jeffrey,
I just spoke to Lasham Maintenance guys in London, its not good news.
The Mx guys traveled to Stansted to lube the #1 throttle since it was tough to move and hard to pull the Truest
reverser.
In short, the middle bearing collapsed and is binding throttle movement. The repair is simple, change the
bearing, however this entitles removing the #1 engine from the airframe. Same needs to be done for #3 engine.
I will speak with Morrison and discuss a proper plan to addresss repair, down time is 2 1/2 weeks, should not
hinder Nov 23 date for Oslo trip.
I wanted to advise you asap,.
Thx
Lany
