It was a great honor for me to talk to you. As arranged I am sending you some examples of my work. Please find enclosed: I. An article published in Science in 2006 proposing five simple rules for the evolution of cooperation. 2. A forthcoming article, which will appear in Nature end of August 2010, describing the recent work with EO Wilson and Corina Tamita on the evolution of eusociality. 3. A paper by Lieberman et al describing an unusual study of language evolution. These papers represent some of the research areas that I am exploring. In general I am fascinated by the idea to develop a precise mathematical theory for evolution. I am also working on evolutionary processes in medicine such as the dynamics of virus infections and cancer. I have an excellent collaboration with Bert Vogelstein, who is one of the leading cancer biologists in the world. Many years ago my calculations helped to obtain a quantitative understanding of HIV infection and treatment. I am very happy to send you more papers.
