I think it could be fascinating.. as a part of the Origins Project I am directing.. part of our "Origins of the Future" program.. Decision science is a subfield within cognitive psychology, while I am part of a multidisciplinary program of environment and natural resources. My research goals are to take decision science out of the psychology laboratory and test it among expert decision makers in the real world, where hopefully it can make a positive difference. One big obstacle I foresee is finding a group of decision makers who would be willing to participate in an 'experimental' process. While this stage of my research is still over a year away, I welcome any suggestions or advice you have as to specific groups or possible contexts for applying this research in the field.
