I WOULD LIKE YOU TO GET INFO On Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 9:14 AM, William Murphy < > wrote: Good Morning Sir, I don't want to be a pest about the internet capacity in the USVI, but I did want to see if additional capacity is something you require for LSJ and FTC. The following two paragraphs contains the highlights. EFTA00757660 Jermaine and Jeanne met with a representative from ATT a few weeks ago. ATT is quoting us for 9M circuits each for LSJ and FTC. The prices per meg are less than half what we are currently paying with Sprint. Sprint service provides 1.5Mbps costing FTC and LSJ each $1380 per month. ATT service will provide each location 9Mbps and costs $3057 and $3363 per month for FTC and LSJ respectively. If you are looking for additional capacity at each of these locations, I believe ATT offers the best option. Their offering is the cheapest, they are the only carrier with fiber connecting St Thomas to the mainland US and they have been frequently identified as the most reliable provider by people I have spoken to in the USVI. The fiber connectivity from Florida to St Thomas should reduce round trip times for data transmission, improving user experience at each location for individuals attempting to access resources stateside. ATT has agreed to work with us to set up a Virtual Private Network connecting FTC and LSJ to our existing infrastructure to make transitioning from our current provider seamless. ATT is requesting a commitment of 3 years and I wanted to get an ok from you before proceeding with Darren regarding the details of the agreement. Please let me know if this is something you wish me to pursue.
