David Stem In 2006 David founded Asia Gateway China, a Beijing based healthcare IT businesses. In 2010 David sold a majority stake to a UK FTSE 100 company and remains Chairman of the business. In 2002 David founded Asia Gateway Limited, a China focused strategy advisory business with offices in Beijing and London. Prior to founding of Asia Gateway, David worked from 2000 until 2002 at Ermgassen & Co in London, a Mergers & Acquisitions boutique where he focused on the Chinese market. In the late 1990s during his studies he was part of Deutsche Bank in Shanghai and Siemens in Beijing. David holds a degree in Law and Chinese Law from the University of London (SOAS) and he lived from 1996 to 1997 in China and Taiwan to study Chinese.
