I haven't had such a fun or intensely intellectual day for quite some time. It was great and I am going to get the projects that we talked about moving along right away. Also, you inspired me to get my existing work on crypticity and the second law, and the black hole of finance project polished up and submitted for publication. For quite some time you have been asking about the role of competition in fundamental dynamics and I think now that this notion fits in well with the ideas about instability in gravitational and financial systems that we talked about: in both types of system, the underlying dynamics automatically results in winners and losers.
