Do you like any of these flowers? Story, I. Here are some plants that I would recommend for those 2-3 small pool beds. I suggest the purple Ruellia would be good for the Coconut bed. It matures nearly 3'-4' but with the density of roots here maybe less. It blooms everyday with exception to pruning times. It is invasive so should spread throughout this bed even with the palm roots. I have never see this plant in a small pot either so it would be a good starter. The Tradescantia would do good here too. The Tradescantia would do good in the cabana bed considering it can mature nicely even in shade. That bed is located on the north side of the cabana and will receive no sunlight for 5-6 months. The Purslane is like an annual but when growing it blooms every day as long as the sunlight reaches it. They need the light for the flowers to open each day. The crown of thorns blooms most days and this variety will stay somewhat compact. Again, with the density of the palm or Ficus roots in this tight areas, I don't think that the plants will mature at normal heights. They can't compete with the palm or Ficus root systems. crossandra, orange Stays relatively short, near 2', blooms year round. crown of thorns, red Very hardy and blooms year round. Purslane Blooms when the sunlight touches it, lasts 1-2 years. ruellia, purple Blooms year round, very invasive so very good for under the coconut tradescantia, purple... Foliage is green and purple and would do okay in the cabana bed with no sunlight. 2. I had the rain sensor checked yesterday. It was turned off. I don't know who did this. My gardener does not know where it is located or even what it is or does. Someone also played with the time schedule on the irrigation clock. Each zone was set for a different length of time to water. We normally maintain our zones the same in the irrigation time clocks. We normally check the time clocks about once per month unless we EFTA00770412 see some type of plant stress that can be possibly caused by too much or too little water. Mr. Epstein stated that the lawn sprinklers were coming on during a rainfall recently so we checked it out. Let me know if Mr. Epstein likes any of these plants.
