Hello Jeffrey,
Brice has asked that I email an update as to where we currently stand in regard to increasing bandwidth at LSJ.
We had received verbal confirmation from an individual on St Thomas that ATT would be able to deliver
10Mbps to the telephone pole near the Ritz Carlton where the undersea fiber cable terminates. That information
however is not entirely correct. All' is currently in the process of building out their infrastructure on St Thomas
and Puerto Rico. These two sites are dependent on one another for bandwidth as internet traffic will be routed
through PR. As they have not completed this project on Puerto Rico, they are not in a position to extend to us a
contract for 10Mbps service.
A consultant with whom we have been working with on St Thomas has contacted Innovative who have proposed
that they can provide the bandwidth in the form of multiple T1 lines. The estimated cost for 10Mbps is 5600 per
month.
I have also contact Sprint for an estimate on increased bandwidth using multiple T1 connections and they have
provided the attached quotes for 3Mbps and 6Mbps service.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
