Jeffrey-
Please see attached master suite column replacement studies.
I like option 1, with stone replacement columns similar to stone columns at office. I think the smaller,
lighter colored columns should be around the pool only, and the sturdier look & feel of the stone columns should
be at the freestanding buildings-(office/master suite/dock house/ATV garage).
The larger columns will make greater beam spans look proportionally better—so the center bays of north, east
and west sides can be wider instead of all bays equal. I also really like the look of creating a master bedroom
`wing' and bathroom `wing', by creating a jog in the cornice, and replacing the handrail with a low wall as an
extension of the stone base. The wider center bays also allow a great opportunity for a larger glass sliding door,
and new shutters.
The steps down to the office will be integrated into the building design and landscape design.
Let me know which option you prefer, and I can do additional views of the east & south facades.
Regards,
Bob
