Dear All,
I received a call late yesterday from Bombardier Used Aircraft Sales telling me the owner of
this GV was in serious discussions with Bombardier in trading this GV for a new aircraft.
Bill told me that they would overvalue the trade in to get a deal done but they did not want
the GV in trade and on their books and must perform a resale as part of the transaction.
The owner of this has an agent handling the sale and or trade and they have published an
asking price of $23.950 million for it and while encouraging offers the owner has been
despondent.
Gulfstream previously had the aircraft for sale but they were unable to perform
"due to the owner's high expectations" . In any event Bombardier is trying to find someone
to offer them a bid for the aircraft including dealers
There is not HUD system and the aircraft a deduction of about $400,000.00.
Engines are due for Overall in 1240 hours and not enrolled in Rolls Royce Corporate Care.
The engines are very likely to approach the of $1.0 million each at the overhaul event which
is about 3 three years hence.
In evaluating the aircraft the VREF calculations show a wholesale value of $18,113,800
(attached).
I calculated it needed paint and interior as it is on a FAR 135 charter
certificate which actually does add some limited value of about $250K but I did not include
it in the evaluation as you will not be interested in that option.
If you were interested and wanted to make an offer it will literally be a put against other
offers.
The real upside is the fact we could do a prebuy like we did on the HS 700 years
ago when we bought it from Bombardier under similar circumstances.
Best regards,
Sean J. Lancaster
