Dear Sam, Noam has requested that we look into a discrepancy on his behalf regarding a RMD distribution made on January 22, 2015 in the amount of $187,000. He states that he has been unable to determine where these funds went. In your records, it shows this distribution was made to the Noam Chomsky Revocable Trust and then subsequently wired to his checking account. Noam states that a deposit was made into his checking account on that date in the amount of $70,000, but not the full amount. We can also see from your records that distributions totalling $150,000 were made from the Noam Chomsky Revocable Trust during the period of January 26,2015 — February 4, 2015, which may account for some of these funds, but not the total, and none of these distributions show a wire/deposit into the checking account. We are unable to go any further in our investigation as we have no other records to check.
