Dear Mr. Epstein,
Your trust in our initiative means a lot to me and Diana. I am attaching a brochure which describes the
different types of partnerships that we offer.
We are looking at funding the initiative using two methods. First, the Kickstarter campaign at
http://kickstarter.neuro.tv seeks to gather funds from scientists and the general public who support us and our
goal of $25,000 needs to be attained before the end of November. Secondly, as described in the brochure, we
are looking for one or two major institution or foundation to partner with, or many smaller donations from
multiple foundations and institutions. We would prefer partnering with one or two major donors. The total
amount of money needed on the institutional side ranges from $20,000 to $50,000. The exact amount needed
depends on the requirements of the donor. For instance, if a main donor was willing to share sponsorship of
the program with Duke University, who has expressed interest in sharing sponsorship, then $20,000 would
suffice. If you would like to fund the entire initiative, then we would need something closer to the $50,000
mark.
The Kickstarter campaign can be contributed to directly on the web, while institutional donations can be
made by check to "NEURO.tv Inc.". Please let me know which type of partnership you would be interested
PROT0
in and I can give you our address.
As you know from our previous email and campaign on the web, NEURO.tv is an innovative platform that
not only seeks to produce an interesting show on the brain but also regroups some of the brightest minds in
neuroscience and philosophy for one hour while they discuss about what matters to them and determine
what should be the future directions in our investigation of the brain and behaviors. The help of visionary
individuals like you will be essential to realize our dream of an academic show that is both scientifically
accurate and free to view for everyone.
We thank you for your interest in our unique initiative.
Sincerely,
Jean-Francois Gariepy
