This Week on Kiekstarter
APRIL 12, 2012
Get your thinking caps on. This week you'll have plenty to consider with a set of
philosophy-inspired posters, a fictional narrative based on the real achievements of
notable women, and a strategic game of knock-'em-down!

Inspired by his own literature-loving daughter,
Jordan Stratford's Wollstonecraft is a work of
historical fiction telling the story of two unsung
women: Ada Byron, the world's first computer
programmer, and Mary Shelley, the world's first
science fiction author. The resulting tale mixes
math and science with mystery and adventure,
transforming Ada and Mary into young
detectives who must use their smarts to save
the day.

Max Temkin has had a thing for philosophy
ever since he encountered a Nietzsche poster
in the 8th grade. For years he's mulled over the
idea of redesigning that poster to be more
visually appealing, and now he's kicking off a
complete series of philosophy posters featuring
notable thoughts from thinkers like Camus
and Wittgenstein. Each print will be handmade,
signed, and numbered, and hopefully inspire
some philosophical thinking of your own.

Knock your socks off
Knock Down Barns pits friends and family
members against one another in a battle of
build-and-break. Players compete to build the
sturdiest structure out of wooden blocks,
then attempt to destroy their opponents with
miniature catapults. The last person standing
wins! The game's newest edition will be made
of sustainable bamboo, and first-run copies are
available exclusively to backers.
