We opened the account with $100,000.00 Sept. '06. Unknown to me until recently, Mike took another $200,000.00 in draws that same month. He used counter checks (the real checks were not delivered yet) to write checks for $53,000.00, $69,000.00, $40,000.00 & $90,000.00. When Trent's secretary said in other months checks for large amounts were written. the account opened 9-01-06 and by 7-13-07 almost all of the money was drawn from the loan. Mike paid the interest on the loan with the draws from the loan, and also the payment on the lots we bought across the street. These monthly payments were $9,000-10,000 (loan) and $4,500 (lots). He quit paying both in July, '07 apparently. That means he paid the roughly $15,000.00 a month for about 10 months. Lets say he spent $160,000.00 total servicing these 2 loans. When the Co. bought the land that became the 20 lot plat, Mike got $250,000 for his ownership, I got $250,000 for mine, and Abel the builder got $100,000 for his. Mike probably had to pay off mortgages on the 2 lots Abel sold to the Co. but I don't know what the payoffs were. The land from Mike & I was free and clear. Quite frankly, I have no idea where the money went. It looks like at least $250,000 is unaccounted for, perhaps more.
