no.. i beliebe that history would prove„( i am aware that there are exceptions ).. that true breakthroughs ,
revelations. advances„ are NOT likely if not nearly impossible to come from those that are not exceptional. the
advances in disease prevention, technolgy, were no found in a paper from somalia on the efect of oysters, on the
carbon footprint. the small pieces of advance are true, but stringing them together for a meaningful outcome is
much more unlikely than from a person already at the top of his field .. The book review, that i oulined is an
example fo the butterfly wing in mexico causing the tsunami.. makes intersting cocktail conversation .

Since I am fond of you, I will not comment in an ad hominem way. You
believe (erroneously) that scientific knowledge happens in giant bites and
high significance and is identifiable from a distance. I believe it happens in
small pieces, a bit at a time. I am as we speak, in a scientific advisory
board meeting where the bites they are discussing are far smaller than the
effect of storage on mackerel, a matter of urgency to farmers, grocers,
housewives, economists, all of whom will use it for their benefit and some
of whom will use it as further stepping stones to more ideas and studies.
