Bob, I realize you have worked hard on my cases.. and as I said up until recently there was no thought of, or
suggestion of a meaningful discount to the overall bill. I have paid each bill as soon as you called me. your
email to me fails to mention a number of critical issues. I. I did say that we would settle Brad and had agreed to
do so the same day, we settled with MErmelstein. In your office , you called brad and he said he was in with a
client , and you said you would get to him. It didn't happen, We then allowed , Alfredos book , out of his lawyers
hands, by assuming he would keep it until we made a motion. I tried to settle brad . the only one that i thought
remained was sid. The email debacle came next., and though your firm was on notice that the emails woudl be
ready to be picked up on may 31, I never received the letter notifying us , and only saw it for the first time when
sitting with chris and lily. This critical piece had dropped through the crack, and your associate david, though
well meaning, let it slide. The statement that you felt that since lily was coming in, was reason we didn;t push it ,
took away our best leverage. In addition to those issues , The palermo meeting was ,to say the least ill prepared,
. We were out maneuvered out lawyered and came into the meeting virtually defenseless. Palermo did not have
our response to the contempt motion, and you told him the reason was that you were at a wedding ( this
comment has been repeated through his friends). We had no credibiliy going in,ZERO and our sole position i.e.
the fact that Marra said he didn;t think it an emergency, went nowhere in terms of its poisoning the negotiation.
