It is the top of the water hammer arrestor that is split. Can be fixed my Marty cutting the pipe and replacing the cap. New insulation (and more of it) is reccomended by Marty. The wall and insulation are soaked and with our frigid temps we are concerned that more will be damaged with the exposure. The air inside the wall is reading 30 degrees with the outside temp in the Estancia reading 18 - 23 degrees. A 2'x3' hole will need to be put in the wall. Marty will be gone next week but is available this week to fix it.
