From: Al seckel < To: Jeffrey Epstein <jeevaeation(kgmail.com> Subject: Re: thought you should see this, i know you tried. Date: Fri, 14 Jan 2011 00:33:54 +0000 Jeff, I am not an idiot. The letter you sent was written entirely by you and expresses your views. You can express them to me directly. I am also not an idiot in the sense that your views are not entirely unshared by me. And, it makes no difference that your views do not reflect the consensus of the group, as this was entirely your show and done for you, and not for them, or anyone else. A fact that was expressed repeatedly to all attendees in advance. Unfortunately, in spite of numerous written emails (you were not copied) to NOT discuss social topics (like AID in Africa, etc), give powerpoint presentations, go longer than five minutes in a talk, they deviated, such as Murray, Paul, etc. Paul was to talk about AI, an area of which he is a genius in, and does a lot with Reichart (who thinks extremely highly of him, but he totally fucked up, and I was not at all pleased, and in fact, furious, he did that last second without informing me). It was most unfortunate that you didn't stay to hear my talk, which actually adhered to the constraints that I laid down. I talked for less than five minutes, demonstrated something never before seen anywhere, and it went against Jerry's talk. First thing out of his mouth was, "That's very cool! I like that! You have raised a really interesting question." And, the conversation went from there. However, I can separate form from content, and while some of the presentations may have lacked polish, or were initially introducing a simple idea, they were launching points for the discussions that followed. The widely varying nature of the fields of the participants was what led to an interesting dynamic in the discussions. EFTA00901970 It also allowed me to see what you eat off the menu. It is now completely obvious of what you like, and would be easy to fill a room with more of those, and better. I am glad you at least enjoyed my friends Brock and Reichart, and everytime I looked over, it seemed as if you were having fun and were engaged. And, we first talked about this, the whole point was for you to have some fun. That's all Jeff. And, yes, I tried... If you wanted a fun smart group consisting of only billionaires or the extremely wealthy, who only want to talk about making more money and getting more women, I could have done that too. On a final note, the spouses and companions did not engage, because they were repeatedly warned to keep their distance. They engaged fully at night and were quite impressive in their own right, such as Mary McFadden, who as you rightly pointed out, was off scale. yours, me From: Jeffrey E stein <'[email protected]> To: Al seckel < > Sent: Wed, January 12, 2011 12:41:08 AM Subject: thought you should see this, i know you tried. Dear Mr Epstein, I think you should consider re -reimbursing the foundation for the cost of the so called mindshit ( sic ) conference. , It was without a doubt the worst meeting we have ever funded. Murray though,Ithought under instructions NO powerpoint rolled out his boring many time heard lecture, three people actually slept through it . Paul talked about aid to Africa.if mumbling could be considered talking. , Kathryn spoke repeatedly about her life, her child, boring, Frances Arnold was uni dimensional. , not fun , not participating, The focus was on the dinners and wine, the spouses /friends were a total waste of money and EFTA00901971 energy, len gave a lecture that I had received in high school with the same exact examples on priming,( certainly a very far cry from new modem mind altering interactions. ron thought that a dolphin eating his young was too difficult to watch. , pablos fell asleep , reichart was interesting as was brock . Poorly organized. money badly spent . I feel badly for you. however the ratio of good to bad was so skewed in bads favor that a charitable contribution in my opinion is unwarranted.
