you definitly need to pursue , other things„ charlie is great and would be a nice addition to a real job„ but you
can'tbe in a position where you can become desperate. Why doh't you ask MJ what he thinks. Even if you try to
raise money for a china or japn show„ each one will want to know where the money is going and will look upon
it differerently if you say I m tryin to rasie money for a show. and i will take 25 % of it. smells a Ittle don't you
think..

Thanks again for your advice and for the generous offer. Fm going to speak to him again tomorrow, so I will
come back to you.
It's not an ideal situation; I now have to decide if it's worth the risk, or whether I should be pursing other
opportunities.

im in paris... I heard your vintage dress was a great success fri night.. I do not know how free his schedule
really is.. ? I am very disappointed by the pay nothing approach. I would like you to work with him , as it is a
good fit. I am willing to fund 60k for 3 months .. lets see how it goes. it would need to be paid to a charity..
And approved obvioulsy by charlie.. if he has a problem with me paying you. i can try to think about some
other £under.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your time on Thursday, I appreciated your advice and have taken everything you said on board.
I wanted to tell you about the conversation I had with Charlie today. I drove up to his upstate property and
we had lunch. He offered me the role of business development manager; where I would represent his brand
and look for opportunities for him that sit outside his Bloomberg show. The role we discussed was
multifaceted:
1. Develop a number of television series - He wants to do a series on China and a series on Japan and
proposed that I raise the money and help produce both series.
2. Following up on ignored opportunities - He said that he is constantly approached by different
organisations that want to develop conferences and television series with him (Microsoft, AOL, Stanford
University, etc), but he hasn't had the time to follow up on any of these opportunities.
3. Develop my own ideas - Whether it be a specialised conference, or television series, that could be
independently funded.
But there is a catch; he currently doesn't have the budget to pay me anything... I mean $0. So I would have to
wait until one of the above opportunities came off before I was paid for my time.
He concluded by saying that he wants to work with me, but it was a "reap what you sow" opportunity.
What are your thoughts? Do you think it is worth pursuing under these terms? I definitely think there are a
number of opportunities I could purse on his behalf, but for me it's all about timing and income.

Maybe I could treat him as a client and look for other consulting opportunities to augment my income?
I would really appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you again for your time and interest.
