Subject: B727 Offer - Scarborough
Larry,
With reference to the recent offer received from George Scarborough, we have confirmed that he has previously owned
a Gill, Gil, Hawker, and a Learjet. He handles his closings through Insured Aircraft Title Services (IATS) and I have
confirmed with IATS that he has bought and sold these aircraft in the past. The most recent aircraft that he owned was
Gill s/n 413 which he sold in July of 2010.
Scarborough's background may be questionable but he has owned aircraft in the past and this puts him on the top of our
prospect list. As Jeffrey noted, many of the prospects these days for a 727 are a little questionable overall. He has made
a more than reasonable offer of $3.5M and I do not want to tum him off if he is sincere with his interest to buy the 727.
I would highly encourage an acceptance of this offer with a limited pre-buy inspection consisting of engine borescopes,
test flight, and logs/records review. So that we don't appear too anxious to accept his offer, I think the way to handle our
response would be explained as "at a price of 3.5, the Seller will complete the sale with a limited pre-buy, borescopes,
and test flight etc." If there are any other inspections that the Buyer deems necessary we can discuss this at a later date.
Let me know Jeffrey's thoughts on how he wants to respond.
Sincerely,
Kevin White
