I'm in Palm Springs now„ I met with some board members, company president, and spent time talking to Kitani. I think it went well. I expected to get very nervous and quiet because of my public speaking issues, but it was quite the opposite. At one point, the cfo was tip-toeing around describing why their chief operating officer got fired. I could tell he though the guy was stupid, but he kept trying to mask it by explaining how there are no idiots, just people who are not fit for their position. He then paused, looked at me and carefully asked what I thought. I said: 'Well, I believe some people are just idiots.' Everyone laughed and the room got much more relaxed. They also shared a lot more information. I think I have you to thank for the balls it took to say that. I was surprisingly comfortable presenting solutions to these people. They now refer to me as 'the subset of one' because of the unusual combination of skills, looks etc. I thought that was funny.
